PACIFIC CENTURY – E HO‘OMAU NO MOANANUIĀKEA

The Hawai'i Triennial 2022 (HT22) is organized around the dynamic concept of the Pacific Century - E Ho‘omau no Moananuiākea. It interweaves themes of history, place, and identity within the context of Hawai'i's unique position at the confluence of the Asia-Pacific and Oceania regions.

HT22 showcases works from 43 artists and collectives, featuring over 60 participants that include internationally renowned cultural figures. They will exhibit alongside multiple generations of Hawai'i-based artists, including some making their U.S. institutional debut. The citywide exhibition will take place at several venues, including the Bishop Museum, Foster Botanical Garden, Hawaii Theatre Center, Hawai‘i State Art Museum, Iolani Palace, Honolulu Museum of Art, and the Royal Hawaiian Center.
